As winter (and cooler temps) is quickly approaching, mornings are about to get a little more difficult. Crawling out of bed is always hard at the sound of the alarm, but when the air outside of your covers is chilled, it is 10x more difficult. With that being said, here are 3 tips to help you with your morning and push you out the door faster. As you will see, there is a common trend… prep the night before.
Tip 1. Prep your lunch. Yes, the night before. Gather everything that you plan to bring for lunch/snack the next day and put it in a pile so it can be easily grabbed in the morning when you are trying to dash out of the door. Put the cold items together in the fridge, and the items that don’t need to be refrigerated, place those in your lunch box.
Tip 2. Prep your coffee. Coffee simply makes mornings do-able. If you don’t have a coffee pot that you can set to brew in the morning, that is okay! Just put everything in the coffee pot so it’s ready for you the next morning. Then, all you have to do is hit “brew”.
Tip 3. Prep your clothes. Again, the night before. Just lay them out! Find exactly what you want to wear the next day, and put it in a pile so it is ready and all right there in the morning. Extra tip: put your shoes and your socks next to the clothes. I promise, it will save you time. Also, I have found that if I plan out my outfit the night before, it is always much cuter than throwing an outfit together in the morning.
I hope these tips help you! Every minute counts in a morning routine!
