About Us

Clearway Clinic has been helping women and families in Massachusetts for nearly 22 years. During that time, we have served approximately 10,000 families. We provide HIPAA compliant, compassionate care and a safe environment for women to review all their options. All women are welcome regardless of what they ultimately decide to do. Our exit surveys show this with a client satisfaction rate of more than 98%.

We are a state licensed medical clinic with a team of board certified doctors and nurses that provides free healthcare to women in Central and Western Massachusetts. We do not provide or refer for abortions and we are careful to disclose this fact before setting up any appointments. Our team of medical professionals provide objective, non-judgmental medical care in a time when you need it most. We educate, support and encourage every one of our patients.

Clearway or
Planned Parenthood?

When you’re searching for help with your unplanned pregnancy, we know that you will have options: and lots of questions! Here’s a breakdown of the differences between Clearway and Planned Parenthood.

Let’s begin with you

If you’ve gotten to this page, chances are you’re pretty sure that you might be pregnant. At this point, you need medical consultation to help you investigate the symptoms you are having.

You have to know 3 things before you proceed.

It’s important to know that 1 in 5 pregnancies end on their own, especially in the first few weeks of pregnancy.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “about 10-20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage. But the actual number is likely higher because many miscarriages occur very early in pregnancy – before you might even know about a pregnancy.”

We strongly encourage you to have a diagnostic exam before any further medication or procedures.

The medical term for this is “gestational age.” Gestational age is extremely important because it effects the type of abortion you’re eligible for, the costs associated with that type of abortion and whether or not you need a doctor.

Abortion clinics vary in the types of abortions they provide.

If you have an untreated sexually transmitted disease or sexually transmitted infection, you will want to seek treatment before proceeding with an abortion.

Differences between Clearway
and Planned Parenthood

Clearway’s team of doctors, nurses and patient advocates are available to help you answer these 3 vital medical questions by providing you a free pre-abortion evaluation.

We provide this service to all patients for free, regardless of their pregnancy intention, ability to pay, sexual orientation, legal status, race or background.

Clearway does not bill your insurance or collect payment to ensure you have the utmost privacy in your decision making. We are a non-profit community women’s clinic, here to help you make good decisions that will impact you for the rest of your life.
Planned Parenthood requires payment upfront before any services are given. There are no free services, and they will bill your insurance.

Important Note: Most abortion providers do not provide you an ultrasound exam apart from the abortion procedure itself. An ultrasound can only be received from them if you plan to abort the pregnancy. Therefore, if you want to know how far along you are before you make your decision, Clearway will provide this service for you.

Clearway does not profit off your decision in any way

There’s an inherent risk that all abortion providers have in providing you with objective information about your pregnancy, and the risks and concerns for each possible outcome: they only make a profit from one choice.

Studies of women who have abortions show that in making a decision about an unwanted pregnancy, 84% of American women who had abortions said that they did not receive adequate counseling beforehand. 64% felt pressured by others.

Our team of medical professionals provide objective, non-judgmental care at the moment you need it most. We educate, support and encourage every one of our patients.

Clearway cares about the whole you. We will talk with you about how this decision can affect your emotional, relational, spiritual, mental and physical health.
