How do I deal with pregnancy during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The COVID-19 pandemic has put all of us in a unique situation where access to certain services is restricted. If you find yourself worried that you might be pregnant during this time, you might be worried that you won’t be able to have an ultrasound done. You may also want to know if you can take a pregnancy test in a safe environment apart from a doctor’s office. At Clearway Clinic, we want to provide you with these free services – although some might look different than they used to – while keeping you and our staff safe, healthy, and in adherence to state and federal public health guidelines.
To ensure the safety of our staff and our patients during this time of public health concerns, we ask that you make an appointment to meet with one of our clinicians ahead of time for any of the following services. We are taking pregnancy appointments on a case-by-case basis, so please don’t hesitate to call us!
PREGNANCY TESTING
Did you have unprotected sex and think you might be pregnant? It takes about 7-10 days from conception for a pregnancy test to detect levels of the HCG hormone. During early pregnancy, HCG levels rise exponentially. The urine pregnancy tests we use at Clearway Clinic are up to 99% accurate and you can get results just 7-10 days after you have sex. Rest assured that these tests are completely confidential.
ULTRASOUNDS
If you have a positive pregnancy test either at home or in our clinic, one of our licensed medical professionals will confirm your pregnancy through an ultrasound. We offer ultrasounds at absolutely no cost to you. An ultrasound detects both the viability of your pregnancy and estimates how far along you are. After the ultrasound, you will meet with one of our medical professionals to discuss the diagnosis and answer any questions you may have. You can meet with them either in person by appointment or as a telehealth consultation.
ABORTION INFORMATION CONSULTATIONS
Are you facing an unplanned pregnancy and think abortion is your only choice? At Clearway Clinic, we want to educate and empower women like you to know the risks that come with abortion and that there are other options. Even if you still want to proceed with an abortion, it’s important to know information about the procedure ahead of time, including the associated risks. A licensed medical professional will meet with you via telehealth or in-person depending on your preferences.
WE’RE HERE FOR YOU
Even during these uncertain times, we’re here to support and educate you in your time of need. Our goal is to provide free pregnancy tests and ultrasound services to those who seek a safe, comfortable environment outside of a doctor’s office. We do not bill your insurance. If you are a minor, no parental consent is required to access our services.
Whether you think you might be pregnant, are considering or an abortion, or have recently had an abortion, do not hesitate to call us today. We’d love to meet you!
